If you or your dependant pass away while travelling, your Travel Emergency benefits will cover certain costs.
A family member or friend’s round-trip economy airfare, by the most direct route from your, or your dependant’s, province or territory of residence, to identify the deceased, when necessary, prior to the release of the body
The cost of preparing and transporting the deceased home to a maximum of $7,000
The cost of cremation or burial at the location of death to a maximum of $2,500
