Return of Deceased

If you or your dependant pass away while travelling, your Travel Emergency benefits will cover certain costs.

  • A family member or friend’s round-trip economy airfare, by the most direct route from Canada, to identify the deceased, when necessary, prior to the release of the body
  • The cost of preparing and transporting the deceased home to a maximum of $7,000
  • The cost of cremation or burial at the location of death to a maximum of $2,500
